Mary, did you know
that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know, that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered,
will soon deliver you.
Mary, did you know
that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know, that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little baby,
you've kissed the face of God.
The blind will see
The deaf will hear
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.
Mary, did you know
that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know,
that your baby boy is heaven's perfect lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding, is the great I AM.

Luke
2:16-20
So they
hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the
manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning
what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it
were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary
treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The
shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had
heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
The Bible says that Mary
pondered all these things in her heart, but I am sure that she did not realize
that her son had come to do all these things and then die on the cross. If
she had, I am not sure if she would have been so willing to be God's vessel in
which to bring the Saviour into this world. It would be a hard thing to know
that your child was born to die for the sins of the world.
Whether she knew or not, is
not the issue. It is the fact that he did come and he did all the things
mentioned above, including dying for us all.
Don't let his sacrifice be
in vain.
I pray that at this
Christmas season, we will not think of Jesus as merely that baby in the
manger, but we will ponder in our hearts, all the things he did for us and be
thankful. And if anyone reading, have not accepted him, that the day will not end, until
they have.
