When I was a child
I remember Sunday Evenings with fondness. We didn't go to church in the
evening until we got older, but we had our own church service in the living
room. We would sing and then Mum would tell us a story from the
Bible. This picture reminded me of a favorite song we used to sing.
were three of us younger children, Carolyn, myself and the youngest, Patsy
(now known as Pat). We would each pick our favorite song to sing and Carolyn
would always manage to say hers first and it was always,
Me The Stories Of Jesus"
all loved that song and would probably have picked if she had not. I
think we loved it because it talked about Jesus.

I remember clearly our times of sitting around the fireplace together,
with our little snack of chocolate chips in a cupcake liner, and Mom
telling us Bible stories and singing with us. I never noticed that she
didn't have a good voice, because it was her voice.
song always made me feel like Jesus was sitting there with us, or else I would
picture Him with Bible-time children sitting around Him while He told them
stories and sang to them.
We're blessed to have such good, happy and enduring memories, when you think how
few children have the same priviledge.
Thanks for sending the new page to me. It's beautiful.
of my parents lived Jesus in front of us at all times and so we loved to hear
stories about Him. My father always loved to sing songs about Jesus and
Heaven. I know that is why I love to listen to christian music so much,
as I always heard it growing up.
please read the words as you listen to the music and sing along. If you
love the old songs, you will love this one. Then follow the link toThe

Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear;
things I would ask him to tell me if he were here:
scenes by the wayside, tales of the sea,
stories of Jesus, tell them to me.
First let me hear how the children stood round his knee,
and I shall fancy his blessing resting on me;
words full of kindness, deeds full of grace,
all in the love light of Jesus' face.
Into the city I'd follow the children's band,
waving a branch of the palm tree high in my hand;
one of his heralds, yes, I would sing
loudest hosannas, "Jesus is King!"
